Mother’s Day Event
Join us for the day, helping our volunteer team provide the residents support, love, and care through action as we spend time with TAS’ resident mothers and hear their stories.
The day will involve physical tasks to help the residents, followed by a beautiful and delicious plant based meal created by @lecomptoirbyfrancois,
with dessert by @oneofakindveganicecream!
All proceeds from this event will go toward our newly launched TAS Lighthouse Fund.

TAS Lighthouse Fund
TAS is a beacon for hope for women leaving violent and abusive homes who need help rehoming their farm animals. TAS Lighthouse Fund is a safekeeping fund to help support these women by giving their beloved farmed animals a safe home, allowing them to focus on their next steps.
Intimate partner violence and domestic abuse within our rural communities largely goes unseen and as a result, resources are very limited for women who are trying to leave these dangerous situations. Additionally, threats of harm or worse to their beloved animals is a serious obstacle for many, making it difficult to leave these animals behind.
This fund is a resource to help alleviate this barrier that many women experience, ensuring a safe place for their farm animals. TAS Lighthouse Fund will assist with direct medical attention, emergency infrastructure as needed, along with feed, hay, and bedding.
Calgary Servus Marathon Fundraiser
This is the third year that the The Alice Sanctuary Team will be participating in the Calgary Marathon! This year’s marathon will be on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.
Our team members are getting ready to run/walk either 5k, 10k, half marathon, or full marathon. We are looking forward to participating in this annual community event, and we'd love to have you come cheer us on!
This year our fundraising goal is $10,000 which would allow us to purchase numerous enrichment items for TAS’ residents.
